TLC keeps showing an ad for 'Toddlers and Tiaras' and it gives me the CREEPS. This is a show about little kids in pageants, and they act like teenagers or older with the moves they're supposed to do and the makeup and clothes they're wearing. It's disturbing. Aren't these supposed to be little kids, running around in pigtails, getting dirty?
Why are they wearing more lipstick than me?
Creepy.

Ok, so it is not just me, who thinks that kids are being forced to grow up waaaaay before they are supposed to. I have a 2 year old girl and she is all piggy tails, swing sets, and dirt. I refuse to primp her up and buy her the little heels that some kids her age are wearing. Yes, at two they wearing heels. All that comes from dressing little girls up like little women is the increasing volume of pregnancies in 12 year olds. Yes, 12. A friend of ours is an O.B. nurse and she has had three 12 year old mothers this year. So, as long as I can keep my little girl covered in dirt and playing babydolls, the better.
